Many people aren't even aware of Salicylate Sensitivities.  I learned of this when I was trying to uncover some of my son's OCD behaviors.  I happened to come across the "Feingold Diet" and read about Salicylates and discovered my son indeed had this sensitvity, once the offending Salicylate containing foods were found, the last of my son's symptoms vanished.
Salicylates are natural preservatives found in many foods, these foods can act as a trigger for Tourette Syndrome, ADD, ADHD, OCD, Autism and learning disabilities.  Many people who have followed the Feingold Diet have had amazing results with removing salicylates, including my son!
